About Us
Woodsong Instruments is a 35 year old, hand-made, artisan
family business. Rob and Kathryn began the business when the
kids were young. They all grew up helping with the
production and designing new items, and now they all run
artisan businesses of their own!
At Woodsong, Rob Yard is the founder, musician and
inventor of the instruments. His combined love of music and
of natural processes has worked well to create his
beautiful, world renowned instruments. This journey has
inspired his philosophy and encouraged him to teach all who
are interested to use the "Music Path" to guide one's life.
Kathryn and daughter Uriel produce the wind chimes &
canisters and assist in the fine finishing of instruments
and managing of the business.
Our experience with Bamboo has engendered a love for this
marvelous plant, which has been so useful to human kind since
ancient times. We grow and harvest all of the bamboo and
much of the other materials used in our productions. We
enjoy seeing our lovely plants venture into the world as
fine and useful items!
About Shipping
Beyond the selection of fine instruments available here,
we will be glad to produce special orders as well. All our
work is hand done; most orders can be filled immediately,
though on occasion there may be up to 2 weeks for delivery.
We generally use the US Postal Service's Priority Mail for shipping and
we charge our best guess about what your order will cost us to ship.
If the shipping charge is significantly greater than our estimate we
will contact you by email.
The didgeridoos are larger and heavier than other items so we have to
charge more for them.
