The Quena, a South American instrument used in traditional Andean music, is an end blown flute with a "V" cleft mouthpiece.

Traditionally it has 6 finger holes on the front face and a thumb hole on the back. We also make a revised style with just the 6 face holes and no hole on the back for variety and ease of playing. All flutes are fashioned from American grown hand harvested bamboo.

Recommendations: The key of G is the most common key for the Quena, but the lower D is also popular. We will tune them in any key, so contact us if you have any special requests.
